Impressive silver embroidered Ottoman period woman’s wedding outfit consisting of two pieces: the heavy purple velvet caftan robe and matching trousers. Dating to the 19thc. Beautiful silver padded stitch embroidery with delicate gimp trimmings. Opening robe with no closures, deep side vents, lined in red satin that is a replacement. With metal spangles. Pants with metal front zip. In very good antique as found uncleaned condition minor spangle loss and a few loose stitches. These pieces are heavy! Weighing in at 10 lbs.

Caftan: chest measures 42″, length 50″, sleeve length 32″. Pants: waist measures 28″, length measures 39″, inseam measures 30″.
