Antique Rare Early Bhutanese Kushung Traditional Tunic
Rare traditional tunic Bhutanese Kashung, possibly dating as early as the 18th century. Archaic form of dress occasionally worn today. Two loom length stitched at sides with supplementary weft in cotton with appliqué wool felt inserts at the neck opening in Dorje patterns. In all original antique uncleaned condition, overall surface soiling with small scattered holes.
Measures 33″ wide and 43″ in length with 6″ fringe at bottom of tunic.
