Sumptuous Indian Benares antique silk brocade sari dating to at least the early 20thc. Probably worn as a wedding sari. Lavish overall trellis and flower repeat design with lustrous colors, the sheen coming from the gilt silver wrapped threads which have mellowed with age with occasional faint tarnish. In very good antique condition with slight damage on very end border.
