Impressive fancy Belle Epoque era ladies black silk velvet beaded cape. Dating to the last quarter of the 19thc. Probably French but no labels. Highest quality black silk velvet with impressive and elegant beading and design. In overall excellent antique uncleaned as found condition with loss to lining at closure, minor and repairable and small bead loss, hook and eye closure with small stand up collar.

Measures 24″ from shoulder to hem with grand sweep of 154″ along bottom edge.
