Glorious Brussels mixed bobbin and needlepoint lace appliquéd onto machine net in a very wide flounce, dating to the mid 19th century. Delicate and airy designs with garlands, florals and medallions in repeat, the whole seems to float in the air. Very romantic and would be perfect for trimming wedding veils. Has a few small breaks in all the yardage. Out of a large private collection of early antique laces that were collected in Paris 1900-1910.
Measures 7 yards long (has seam) and measures 13″ wide.
