Antique Rare Superb Italian Milanese Lace Panel Dating To The 17th Century

 
Bold Italian Baroque 17th century Milanese lace panel with reticella edge on four sides. With gorgeous stylized exotic flower heads and bold scrolling motifs. Superb flat smooth buttery soft work in the finest linen with almost no connecting brides. Edging done in reticella lace probably of the same period. The panel has been at some later point backed in the finest tissue chiffon and this fabric itself is very old. Excellent antique condition and rare.

Measures 38″ high by 32″ wide, the lace edge measures 1.5″.
