Antique Chinese Forbidden Stitch Embroidery

 
Silvery gray figured silk damask Chinese long shawl/panel. Dating to the late 19th century. Extremely fine shaded embroidery done in Forbidden stitch with colorful florals, butterflies, fruits and melons. Lined in white figured silk with knotted fringe on two ends. In very good antique, uncleaned as found condition.

Measures 80″ by with 10″ fringe.
