Point de France with Alencon ground lace large collar dating to the 17th century. Very fine in linen with ornate fill work and shading in the beloved Baroque design elements of the period. The raised cordonet covered in button hole stitch. Very fancy and rare. In excellent uncleaned as found condition with just a scattered small breaks consistent with age and overall age related yellowing, not terribly fragile and would hold up to a gentle soak.
Measures 85″ long and 6.5″ wide at the widest each end measure 3″ wide.
