Early English Moss Green Linen Shepherd Or Workwear Smock

Heavy homespun linen English Hereford shepherd/agriculture smock, dating to the late 19thc early 20thc. Likely vegetal dye in a earthy and serene moss green. Densely smocked front bib repeated on the back, smocking repeated on shoulders and at cuffs, gently gathered at bottom of the bibs with full skirt with side deep work pockets each side. Decorative chain stitch embroidery at collar and sides. All hand stitched with large gussets under each arm and small side vents. Metal buttons at cuffs, missing at side pockets and at throat and back of neck. Otherwise excellent with a few light marks. A little masterpiece of early work wear.
