Antique Charming Ribbonwork Silk Lingerie Bag

 
Lovely antique ribbonwork lingerie bag, dating to the early 20th century. Probably French all hand work, made in the finest materials. With large basket tied with a bow filled with vibrant ribbon worked roses. Metallic gold thread work in the basket done on a fine pastel pink silk, with a contrasting rose silk on the interior, buttonhole stitched metal loop at the top, probably had a ribbon to draw the bag closed, the reverse side with a scattering of the ribbonwork roses. In excellent antique condition.

Measures 23″ by 18″ wide. The basket measures 9″ high and 9″ across.
