Antique Valencienne de Gand lace hankie surround. Snow white hand lace that was used to be the border around a fancy linen hankie, dating to the mid 19th century. A bit rare it ceased to be made after 1867, this lace has a lovely fluid pattern in nicely shaded work is very flat and soft. In as found condition, uncleaned does have break to the ground mesh in one small area and a small piece of design element has break see images. Measures 14.5" by 14.5", 8 0z.
