Antique hand twill tapestry Kashmiri shawl dating to the mid 19th century. Recent museum deaccession with black twill track for hanging on top reverse. Small black wool center with dense and colorful design elements through out, with unususal spade shaped features in each corner with embroidered gates on four sides. In excellent antique condition with a dozen pindot holes that are virtually unseen unless held to the light, slight loss to fringe of gates. Measures 72" square.
